Planning: Location recce

I took these series of photos as I did a location recce. These photos were mainly taken during our media lesson. They were taken behind the Claremont Fan Court School mansion and around Claremont Landscape garden. As a result of the old Victorian look of these buildings, I felt that many creepy and atmospheric moments could be created in our movie.

This shot and location outside the mansion  was an effective one.  The steam allows for an eerie atmosphere and almost could be a good replacement for something like fog. The steam could make an interesting shot and could be used as part of a tracking shot leading up to the mansion.

This panorama shot of a lake in Claremont Landscape Gardens was another location our group thought we could use. The location is quite a beautiful and stunning one which allows for a good location to shoot. The trees are also very symmetrical which allows for another interesting shot. However, due to the area being usually quiet it can be a good place to film as there would be no one who would get in the way of shooting. This abandonment could also be a good idea for our movie as it could create the feeling of loneliness.
This is also another possibility for a lake that we could possibly use for the movie. Again, this is another scene and setting of beauty and is also quite quiet on most days so it would be another interesting place to shoot.
Near and around Claremont Landscape Gardens are lots of woods. Woods are very commonly associated with eery atmospheres. The autumn weather could also make for some interesting shots and sounds with the rustling of the leaves.

I also made a picmonkey collage as an easier and better looking way of looking at the pictures we took for the recee
